How Mixpayer handles information across our website, merchant services and hosted checkout.

Last updated: TENG CHI LIMITED

Your information has a purpose. This notice covers what we handle, why it is needed, who receives it and how to contact us about your rights. It also explains the separate role of the merchant whose product you buy.

1. Who we are

Mixpayer is operated by TENG CHI LIMITED (“Mixpayer”, “we”, “us”), at Room 5047, 5/F, Yau Lee Centre, 45 Hoi Yuen Road, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. This notice explains how personal information is handled when you visit our website, use the merchant console, contact us, or use a store or checkout powered by Mixpayer.

We manage information needed to operate our platform, verify merchants, maintain transaction records and provide support. Merchants also decide how to use customer information for their own products. For a merchant’s product, account or marketing practices, please read that merchant’s privacy notice as well.

2. Information we handle

CategoryExamples and context
Merchant and account detailsName, email address, telephone number, account credentials, business details, websites and authorised team members.
Verification informationInformation submitted to an identity-verification provider where verification is required. Mixpayer receives session references, results and relevant status information; the provider explains its handling of identity documents or biometric information.
Customer and transaction detailsCustomer ID supplied by a merchant, name, email, billing information, purchased product, currency, amount, subscription or entitlement details, coupons, refunds and payment references.
Settlement and payout detailsAccount-holder name, supported bank or wallet details, payout requests, settlement references and related communications.
Technical and support informationIP address, country inferred from IP, browser and device information, session identifiers, security logs, support enquiries and information you choose to send us.

Information can come from you, the merchant whose product you purchase, or service providers confirming a transaction or verification result. When you enter payment credentials on a provider-hosted checkout, that provider handles those credentials under its own applicable notice.

3. How we use information

  • Create and protect accounts, authenticate users and manage merchant websites.
  • Present eligible products and payment methods, process checkout, maintain order history and deliver transaction notifications.
  • Manage subscriptions, purchased credits or usage entitlements, coupons, refunds, disputes, settlements and payout requests.
  • Conduct merchant verification where required, detect misuse and maintain audit and security records.
  • Respond to enquiries, troubleshoot problems and maintain the reliability of our services.
  • Meet applicable legal, accounting, tax and regulatory requirements and enforce our agreements.

Where applicable law requires a lawful basis, processing may be necessary for our agreement with you, a legal obligation, legitimate operational and security interests, or your consent. Optional direct marketing is handled with the consent or other permission required by applicable law, and you can opt out.

4. Who receives information

We share relevant information with the merchant involved in your purchase and with providers supporting the service, such as payment processing, identity verification, hosting, email delivery and customer support. They receive information relevant to their role, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, to protect people or the service, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. This notice does not authorise a merchant or partner to use customer information for unrelated marketing.

5. International processing

Mixpayer supports businesses and customers in multiple countries. Information may be processed in Hong Kong and in other locations where merchants and our service providers operate. Privacy rules in those locations may differ from those in your country.

Where a transfer requires additional safeguards, we use the protections required by applicable law, which may include contractual safeguards. Contact us to ask about the processing or transfer arrangements relevant to your information.

6. How long information is kept

Retention depends on why the information is needed. Account information is kept as needed for the relationship; transaction, verification, tax and payout records may need to remain available for legal obligations, fraud prevention, reconciliation or disputes after an account closes.

We do not apply an unlimited retention period to all information. When information is no longer needed for its permitted purposes, we delete it or make it non-identifying, subject to applicable retention requirements and the normal lifecycle of protected backups.

7. Security

We use measures designed to protect personal information, including HTTPS, account authentication, access restrictions and verification of relevant payment notifications. Access is limited according to operational need.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your login details and API keys private, grant access only to authorised team members, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

8. Cookies and browser storage

Our services use cookies or similar browser storage where needed to maintain a session, remember a selected website or language, preserve a checkout and associate orders with a customer. Security and technical logs also support safe operation. Disabling essential storage may prevent sign-in or checkout features from working.

Third-party pages, including hosted payment or identity-verification pages, may use their own storage and notices. If optional analytics or advertising tools are introduced, we will provide the information and choices required before using them. You can manage cookies and stored site data through your browser.

9. Your choices and rights

You may request access to or correction of your personal information. Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may also have rights to deletion, restriction, portability, objection or withdrawal of consent. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions; withdrawing consent does not affect prior lawful processing.

Send a request to hello@mixpayer.com, describing your relationship with Mixpayer and the information concerned. We may need to verify your identity without asking for more information than reasonably necessary. If a merchant controls the relevant information, we may direct you to that merchant or assist with its request.

You can raise a concern with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong or the relevant supervisory authority in your location. We welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.

10. Children’s information

Our merchant services are intended for adults and authorised business representatives. We do not design merchant onboarding for children. A merchant is responsible for any age restrictions applying to its own product. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us so the circumstances can be reviewed.

11. Updates to this notice

We may update this notice as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Where a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it through an appropriate channel.
